Legacies
BTO carry out reseach and advise on priority issues in bird conservation and the complex and worrying challenges facing wild birds. Our results are frequently used by conservation groups, government agencies, planners, ecologists, industrialists, environmental consultants and scientific researchers as they provide unique insights into major issues of national and even global concern, such as agricultural policy and climate change.
We hope that by informing the policies and decisions which have an impact on the environment, that future generations will benefit from a healthy and wildlife-rich environment, but we can only do this with your help.
One of the most effective ways you can support the BTO's vision is to remember us in your Will.
Whether a legacy gift is a book collection, £250 or £25,000, each one makes a big difference to the work of the Trust. Legacy gifts are used for priority research - work that the BTO believes to be important and for which other funding is not available. At a time when it is becoming increasingly difficult to find long-term funding for research and surveys, having our own money to invest in important projects is vital.
By using the collective legacies in Birds in Trust, every amount we receive, large or small, contributes to work which is fundamental to bird conservation.
“You can help ensure that we continue to monitor what is happening to wild birds and their habitats into the future. Your contribution will enable us to continue to inform and advise conservation organisations how to better protect our environment.”
Andy Clements - Director
